Buying and Selling Homes are not Just Transactions Most of my pricing process involves diving deep into the current market value of the property I am helping to buy or sell. Another integral part of the process is to realize that to most people a home is not just a building. It is a place full of memories that impart an emotional element to the sale. A similar emotional element occurs for many buyers looking for their ‘forever home’ to raise a family, or to spend their senior years enjoying safety and comfort. I sell happiness, lower stress, a view toward the future.... I almost never sell a ‘building.’ My goal is to be such a good listener that I can fully understand the objective needs of my clients while taking into consideration the subjective and sometimes camouflaged wants and needs. My professional background includes Director of Marketing specializing in direct mail campaigns; Graphic Design; Jr. Forester for CalFire; Landscape Architect for the Tahoe National Forest; Executive Director of the Grass Valley (Ca) Downtown Business Association; Wildland Fire Fighter and Station Emergency Medical Technician. As an owner/builder and Realtor, I cannot imagine a better way to understand how homes are built, then to help build them. I see from the ground up how all the pieces fit together. It took the mystery out of things like excavating, foundations, joists, strong walls, electrical wiring, plumbing, ducting, and all things hiding inside walls, above ceilings and under the flooring. I am not a contractor, but I do have a foundational understanding of construction and landscape architecture. All of my previous professions help me tremendously with the business of selling and buying homes for my clients. Clients Deserve My Best, and that is what I give.
